NZ Bag Tax Campaign - 2006
A new New Zealand campaign has been started in 2006 to bring about a per bag, government levy on each plastic shopping bag given out by supermarkets and grocery stores.
The campaign can be viewed at http://www.bagtax.org.nz/ and you can add your weight to the campaign by emailing your mp. The site has an impressive list of each mp and their email address, so you can lobby them directly to represent your views in Parliament.
The site also has two very impactful posters which can be used to launch a promotional campaign in your town, or your schools.
